Cussed at by a receiver

You can file a wd all you want. It doesn't mean they will pay. You have to do the work. Go after their bank accounts and file leins and such.

Then you get smart and charge for the delay. You do not go whinning to the cops because you got your feeling hurt. Not only is it a waste of time, like you found out. It's also going to make that unload you want to happen not actually happen.

Next time be professional and ask like a professional. If he starts cussing or whatever just walk away and deal with the broker. Leave or whatever, but deal with the broker not the guy that's pissed because you cannot follow simple directions.

I had a receiver in Lincoln nebr get ugly with me like that once .
I didn't say a word just walked out ..shut the doors and left .
Then called dispatch and told em what transpired and I was bringing the trailer to the yard not caring if they're stuff melted over that 100 degree weekend .
Fortunately my dispatcher was a female with a bite worse than her bark and when I went back I dang near had a welcoming commitee waiting for me lol

 

I had much the same as the OP (did write it down on other post) but ..I was on distance LTL work (milkruns hehe)around western/northern Canada anyway my runs were set up at factory my dispatch checks the run phones customers delivery times(am,or pm and person spoke to ) and when I'm hooked up and started I phone up on company phone to give an hr window ,,company been doing it this way a long time......so on I go first day goes well ,2nd day ist drop off at 7am on to the next arrive 10mins before set time twin ,docks have local delivery vans parked in front of the doors!...I notice a door is open so I stick my head in and say who I am /company name what I am delivering and agreed time. WELL ## me if a guy comes running over fn and blinding about no kin unloading till 6pm till 10pm I try to tell him x was informed by factory/my company and me about unloading time ....well x says kin liar and pushes me YES pushes me out the door!!!. I am not a happy bunny and phoned up my dispatch ...my dispatch is all we will sort it out ,,,yeah #### right you will........any 10mins later dispatch phones me back and tells me to pull out of store and park up next door as MRX cursed them out as well.and factory rep is on his way to me(my first drop that day was at factory reps storage shed.) well he arrives and tells me this is a new customer and he would deal with it...hehe 10mins or so hes out at me saying the receiver is a nutjob and give him a minute and he will get me on my way. I am sent to a local moving/storage company and make my delivery all 4 skids of customer ordered kitchens.and I'm away on my run,,,so next week deliver to storage again then the following week I ask the storage office guy whats happening to the stuff I bring in ? well he says its all charged against the company and once a week they load up a truck and take it round to the store and attempt delivery ,always refused and told to come back in the evening ONE problem the storage guy says the city driver finishes at 5pm...hehe..i left a month or so later so don't know how it ended ....the company involved was believe it or not a huge American /Canadian "hardware "company. the store was in Regina sk.and this is a true account no BS. the only thing I did wrong was not put the gooby #### on the floor and kick his balls up intae his stomach!! jimmy a scot in a strange land
