Sure they do. On more than a handful of occasions, I've told a receiver "Either you unload me where you want it, or I'll unload it at your gate and you can deal with it at your convenience"...of course that was a lot more fun on end dumps, where I flip my switches on the trailer to release the tailgate and dump the airbags, climb up into the truck and engage the PTO. They usually change their mind before the bed starts going up. Flats it would require a little more effort on my part to get the load off, but I'll do it if I need to. As soon as they see I wasn't making idle threats, their tune changes.

What gets a lot of folks in trouble with ultimatums is that they don't follow through. All bark and no bite. If you SAY you're going to do something, DO IT!!!

Wouldnt work some places. Friend of mine works at a quary. They had a driver threaten that and do it. Apparently some of whatever he was hauling damaged a fence. Driver was arrested for vandalism.

Then I asked if he was rejecting the load... “yes gd mfer I am, now get the ## out of here” told him I needed a signature stating that he rejected the load. Only came back with more verbal abuse. I walked out of the office and called the police. Sheriffs deputies show up and instruct me that it’s not against the law to be an #######. So no help there.

Got the broker in on it by now....some guy comes out of the building to head off the cops. Guess he didn’t want the deputies snooping around with all of the illegals running around on property. Lol. Fella kind of acted like he was in charge of the place, told me I would be unloaded at 1000. I just went back to truck at that point, called broker back, said he was on phone with the owner of the place. They started unloading me at 0830 and I had signed BOL in hand and off of property by 0915.

Sad state of affairs when a driver has to go through all of that to just get unloaded.

Moral of story drivers, do not accept being treated like a piece of trash at these places. Always be courteous but stand your ground!

Appointment time is the time to get to the door and get unloaded. If reciver can't fulfil contract then must pay fee.. any one on this 1

Appt times from the broker mean jack #### of the appt time want verified by the consignee.

I verify my appt times on broker loads every #### time. On a customer load I don't because that's my dispatchers job

Think of the poor souls that work for this guy.My boss at a construction company was like this guy.You have more patience then me no way would I have put up with it politely.
