I don't know what's worse, being away from home all the time or be stuck fighting in Chicago traffic all the time lol.
Anyways good luck to you sir, if you'd be happy at home more then you're making a good move.

It'll be a second shift job most likely (I prefer running 2pm-2am shift anyway) so outside of afternoon rush hour shouldn't be too bad.freightwipper Thanks this.

4-6 PM will suck though.
Have you ever thought about just working all those short Chicago loads on choice?
There's sooooooo many short loads in and around there. -
If I didn't have truck payments yeah

That whole organization is one big, "who me'??? They walk in every day to a circular firing squad.......last man up, gets the prize. Here's a question you should ask yourself, have you EVER heard of ANYONE taking responsibility for ANYTHING? Nope........just don't do it 'round these parts.
SNI, overall, is staffed with some pretty good folks. But the culture is, No Proactivity, No Responsibility, No Accountability. sad, sad saddriverdriver Thanks this. -
Before I got into trucking I worked in corporate offices in various functions, generally customer service related, but a lot of accounting functions as well. One thing I came to find out is finger pointing and assigning blame elsewhere was the norm and the way to get ahead in the industry.
