Seen some people say something about prepass .
Did anyone during this get a green light on their prepass when they came upon a open scale ?
I got a red every single one , and I think I hit like 3 or 4 .

The AZ highway patrol hit the Flagstaff area hard today at noon. They were doing level 1's west of Bellemont and ran out of room for OOS trucks. About 20 trucks parked at the Pilot now with OOS stickers placed on the corner of their passenger side windshield.
I got a level 1 and passed that but I am carrying hazmat so the officer checked my load inside my van. Said my totes were leaking fluid on top near caps, put me OOS. Hazmat response team came out and said that was just some minor residue leaking out because of temperature and elevation changes. Said if it wasn't for that the plastic membrane could rupture. So the hazmat team just wiped off the residue with a hand towel and said I was good to go. No citation but will get CSA points even though I couldn't check on the load once sealed.scottied67, crazw, skellr and 1 other person Thank this. -

they are set u on 35E south of dallas at the old rest areas... They were setting up spot lights for the night attack. I was stopped going into dallas earlier today... They had lots and lots of reed tagged vehicles. I was sighted for obstruction of the windshield cause my texas toll tag was to high up on my windshield.. That's the only thing they found and I got the violation..... In texas they don't just use scales they do roadside....
I haul hazmat in a box and that's why I got asked to visit them..Last edited: Jun 4, 2014

Did they ask you about your cb radio by chance? They were recently banned in Coconino county (Flagstaff), unless that got withheld in the last couple days and I haven't heard about it.

No didn't mention CB radio but it seems every inspector has his way of doing things. Some of these violations almost seem more opinionated than law.AZS Thanks this.

I got it through the company grapevine that the westbound scale in Van Horn, TX was open.
Heard the westbound 20 scale in Mississippi crossing in from Alabama was busy. The only scale I saw giving drivers headaches was the NB scale in South Carolina on 85. Georgia red lighted me on 20 west bound but that was it for Georgia. The 85 southbound scale was locked up. The Alabama scale is OOS due to the construction. Will see what Mississippi is up to here in an hour or so.
