cvsa sticker good for anything

    What do you expect? Your #### is broken and you're driving it. Fix your truck, and you won't have to deal with them as often.

    Not true. If you notice there are 2 ears on the bottom of the sticker. Upon successful completion of your 1st inspection, the will tear off 1 of them, but you need to get another inspection within 30 days for the sticker to be valid...and they will tear off the Second ear.

    I told the officer that I had got an inspection on Tuesday of the same week. She stated the sticker means nothing except that this one will be easier since it was just done.

    I know many people that have gotten several inspections in the short time. But, what would I know.

    I got hit the day before in cali had to siphon tank and cap off til i get home but obviosly not as bad as it looks since i got the sticker eh

    What I stated earlier was how it was explained to me by CA DOT at the Gilroy weigh station. But, what would I know.

    You guys crack me up...........Allow me to enlighten you on the CVSA sticker, which is placed in the lower right corner of the passenger window after a successful inspection. There are 4 colors representing the 4 quarters of the year. Depending on what month of the quarter you receive the inspection (Jan, Feb, Mar) the sticker will be complete or the right corner/left corner cut off to represent the month of the quarter. Then, overlaid on the sticker is the year the sticker is issued. So, for instance, an inspection given in May, '13 might have a green sticker with the left corner cut off and a big 13 on the sticker. Green would represent the second quarter. The left corner would represent the month of May. (corners cut off and colors of sticker not for sure) I noticed no one has mentioned the report that comes with the sticker. If you show this report to another inspector BEFORE he starts inspecting you with-in 30 days, you may get a pass. CHP in Ca. usually does this, but it's not a given. Just having the sticker won't help you, you need the paper report.

    I had the report. She asked for it. She copied everything on it except for the trailer info and never got out of the car.

    13 years, I've never had one on my tractors. But, I've only run into CA and AZ once or twice in that time.

    Last year pulled into banning they did Lvl 1 on me passed got stickers trac/trl 3 days later st George scale pulls me out back does another Lvl 1 said he didn't give a rats behind about bannings stickers knocks me for three brakes 1/16th out adjustment. Month ago gilroy get me for scuff marks trailer lines. Thursday Santa Clarita pulls me in gives me stickers trac/trl.
