cylinder numbers location

    Can someone tell me is number 1 cylinder at the front or rear of the truck.

    It depends. If you have a Mack MS 300 the number one cylinder is at the back.
    JP's answer is about 99.99% correct.

    It a caterpillar c15 though it was the front just wanted to be sure .

    Good to know. I was not aware of that. Hope I never need that info however.


    Had to go look. Thats the midliner Renault? Only worked on a few of those trucks. What a pile they were.

    The more you get to work on them the better and clearer they are.
    Mains bearing caps are lettered from front to back. A, B, C, D, E, F and G.
