I just talked to a friend of mine that worked for them about a year ago before he went to driving a tow truck. He said that he would never go back. He said they do get you home every weekend, but the pay isn't as great as they promise. His last few weeks there was really miserable. He said they prefer those that are less experienced than experienced. They will have you ride with a trainer for 6 weeks on the truck with them. He said the trucks are gutless and cut back to a whopping 60 mph.

He mentioned that dispatch will treat you really bad and if you are with them past the 6 month minimum (you have to be there 6 months or you have to pay back all the training pay) you are a veteran with them.

This is pretty different than what the guys in the shop gettting their equipment worked on were telling us. So that is a different opinion from my friend over all the other drivers.

I take them all with a grain of salt. Like I told him, he worked there for a year so it couldn't have been that bad. He said it was, but difficult to get home for interviews.

i never heard anything about paying back training and they do not make you go out for 6 weeks with a trainer unless maybe you have no exp. or just cant drive and need the training lots of drivers blow things out of proportion when they leave a job mad make it sound alot worse than it is like i said b4 it aint the greatest company but it aint the worse either by far

I have a friend that drives for cypress. He says he made 43k last year and gets 2k +ish miles a week. Drives a 379 that he loves, though it has 1.5 mil on it. Seems to be decently happy, hes home everyweekend and if hes not it was bc it was his choice. I notice him having to leave on sundays though, sometimes early in the day.

They issue a truck bases on your experience. So yes no experience you get older truck. But they will issue a better one ounce there and you prove yourself. The guys in the shop will fix your issues pretty fast. I would always flip the michanic a few bucks. I would be in and out .I drove a 99 Pete.

They have all the tools at the terminal to was your ride. So the nasty trucks running around is a reflection of the driver. Just have to spend a few minutes and wash it.

Just my two cents. I just stayed to my self and away from the picnic bench. Seems walls have ears. The only reason I left was retired navy. And my Va appointments could not be completed on weekends. I would just drop off trip pack and grad freight bills and avoid the snack bar. And drive below speed limit in the yard ..... No joke mr safely will catch you speeding...
