D.O.T. Physical/Snoring

I wont fail my dot physical because of that though rite?

 

it's a tool used to screen out people they don't like

 

Well hopefully they wont give me any problems about it. My neck size is roughly about 15-16

 

If your BMI is higher than 30 or neck size more than 17 inches you could be given a temporary card and required to have a sleep study . Being obese does not disqualify you but if are tested and found to have sleep apnea you can't be qualified until you find effective treatment which is usually a CPAP machine .
Many doctors won't recommend testing due to neck size or BMI alone .

NO!

I need to measure your Neck, she said.

OK!

Looks like your going to need a Doctor to do an evaluation, she said.

ten minutes later...

Your Throat is too small, said the Doctor. He explained it would only cost 2800 dollars to take a Sleep Apnea Clinical Test to determine if you have Sleep Apena. Then Purchase a CPAP machine for the truck.

 

Heres how my exam went. Female Doctor with clip board. "So you have NEVER smoked?" With a glaring suspicious stare. Me "no." Doctor "do you snore? Me. "Well my wife says I snore occasionally."BIG MISTAKE! Do you wake because of it? No! Do you choke? No! Is it loud snoring? No..I don't think so.

So she knocks off a full year from my otherwise spotless medical card and recommends a full blown OSA test. (Obstructive sleep apnea)

NO wonder disability claims are soaring. The powers that be would rather have you dependent and receiving food stamps then let you work.

 

IF you get disability because of sleep apnea, then there is something seriously wrong with the system.

 

They just did that to me. I thought that was what's up. They hadme sign a prom.note $174 for my bus ticket home. They will not pay for a return bus ticket. As I am unemployed I can't afford to pay the 174 plus the 100.
