D.O.T. Testing

Maybe we shouldn't tell him that what they do during a DOT physical! Hint.... it involves gloves! The pee-pee test is the least of your concerns!

 

Charles, I'm not trying to be funny. google hernia check and google prostrate exam. They are two things you will likely have to deal with.
It's pretty much up to the doctor what tests are preformed. The company can request certain ones and the doctor will do them. The physicals can be anything from a sham rubber stamp thing to a full on battery of tests.
DOT Physicals and drug tests are two different things. Like someone said, peeing for the physical is just looking for sugar.
Very likely the only time someone would watch you for a drug test is if you were suspected for something.
Dot physicals are every two years or sooner if necessary. Drug tests are prehire and random.

Two weeks ago. Unless you mean an actual DOT officer, than never. But the OP mentioned company personnel or officer, so that was what I was replying to.

 

Once you turn in the intial sample if the temp is under or over the required temp it is dot regulations that the 2nd sample be given within the presence of the collector.

 

Im with you, never had that happen...... and I just had a D.O.T. physical on 1/16/13

 

Why would they check the temperature of your pee??? to see if you might have a fever or does it mean u have some illness?

 

They check the temp to make sure its not adulterated and to make sure it came from you temp has to between 96 and 99 degrees

 

A temp gauge is attached to the specimen cup

 

Do they just pull students randomly, or do they tell you what day you have to take it? How long do you have to sit around and wait for your results before you finally get on with the training? I hope it doesnt take like a week or something because Ill only have a couple hundred dollars for food and that will probably barely get me through the first couple of weeks if i buy stuff like canned food and ramen noodles and other goodies.
