a dumb question, he doesnt have to list anything over 10 years? If they were in a CMV he is kinda screwed, but a small vehicle its worth a shot to try. I might be wrong but I dont know how far out you should have to be able to report stuff like that. maybe he can play the honest card and ask about 30 year old DUI's, I dont think they can go that far out, as long as its not a worse charge....

I don't think thw DMV is going to be the problem. Go to your loc courthouse and get the conviction and arrest expunged. It will cost a little, but not too much. I think it is $60 per expungement in Delaware.

DMV for new drivers is usually three years but remember to answer the qiuestions as asked. Sometimes they ask anout DUI's in the past ten years etc... onlt answer what is asked, and answer honestlg.

    Good luck.

In some states (NY) DUI's can never be expunged. Just because it doesn't show up on your MVR doesn't mean a thing. Look further into your states rules, and please, get the FREE copy from HireRight. Trust me when I tell you this: don't go into this without doing some research.
BTW...most companies ask how many DUI's in a LIFETIME.
    Tread lightly....CYA....

This driver had 3 DUI and made it.

    It will NOT be easy.

    but it is doable.

Most applications I've filled out ask if you've EVER been convicted of a DUI. That said, 30 years ago is a long time, and I'm not sure if it would show up, or if a company would really dig back that far. Still might be best to err on the side of caution however.

i too have filled out job applications where the question is asked, "Have you EVER BEEN charged/convicted with a DUI"?

in your case, i would suggest since it was so very long ago, go and see a lawyer and pay him to have ANY THING about those removed from your records.

i wish you well, and hope that you NEVER touch another drink, and stay sober forever.

    good luck.

Went to the courthouse today and they said to bad we don"t expunge DUIs. Now I will call a lawyer and see what if anything can be done. Nothing like holding crap from 30 yrs ago over your head. You can bet that if you know someone high up the chain of command that something could be done. WTH I feel that I have proven myself by being law abiding and sober for all these years. I want to THANK everyone for the input and help.
