D13 bad mpg and less power

My truck is having same issues. New injectors, new turbo, new fuel filters, clean air filter, new egr valve, new egr cooler, have torn apart the driveline to verify its not my 13 speed or axles. The truck has no torque, poor fuel economy, falls on its face on hill. I get pissed off and rev it up to 2000 rpm now just to get its sluggish butt moving. Sometimes from a stop it has a skip when I take off. Also has a single skip sometimes when angry and I romp on it. Dpf filter is clean. No codes. Not derated.

 

Did you check your air intake system for air leak, charge air cooler, hoses, clamps and change boost pressure sensor.

 

I had it smoke tested but the #### dealer waited until the truck was cold before smoke testing it. I stopped at Nacarato Volvo in Nashville today. They think the dealership never calibrated my turbo when they installed it. Also gave me a laundry list of items to check and replace myself. I honestly think my hot pipe (the little U-pipe going from the egr valve to the cooler) is leaking. I will check that tommorow

 

Amram, did you find your problem? Also, can you post the " laundry list of items" the dealership gave you to check and replace yourself.

 

I got most of my power back but the fuel consumption is wicked bad. 6.2mpg. I used a bottle of hotshots stiction elimator and saw a 2/10th mpg fuel economy increase. A few times the truck has almost stalled out starting from a light in 1st gear. The injectors and cups are less than 3 months old. They told me to replace my Crankshaft position sensor, egr temp sensor and egr delta p sensor.

 

Did you ever figure out what the problem was?

 

I have mpg problem too,i dont know does winter has to do much with or something else..When i bought this 780 in July i had 7.4 mpg and now today it went down to 6.6 on 5000 gallons[i restarted when i bought it]..I had a egr valve replaced in november and the same engine light code for egr came up after 2 weeks or so..i have not taken the truck to the shop since code came up..So my Q is can bad egr couse bad mpg or is just a cold weather?

 

Is it throwing any other codes?

 

Archidv What year is the truck? What’s mileage on a engine? Winter diesel blend doesn’t burn as good as a summer blend and lowers your mpg. Do you idle at night?
