D13 compounding turbos

    I dunno why these companies insist on using compounding style turbos....use superchargers instead...engineers nowadays must be half brain dead.

    It's a interesting concept. The 2nd turbo is actually connected to the flywheel through a series of reduction gears so the more boost it makes, the more it helps put power direct to the flywheel.

    Double (sort off) gearbox with double clutch.

    Not at all.

    The exhaust energy drives the motor, not the engine driving a compressor.

    Because a turbo is far far more efficient....it uses wasted exhaust energy to make more power ......not parasitic drag to make power.
