    No.

Hot exhaust gases expand it's more completely using the exhaust energy and recovering it...then putting the energy recovered back into the engine mechanically.

This is sorta similar to how a gas turbine produces mechanical energy...like in a helicopter... Sorta

the jacket. I was wondering if you could help me. Im putting a turbo (Holster) on a NHC 250 HP Cummins. Im a Retired Firemen na we contract to the USFS (Forest Service) with our water tender. We supply water at Fires. Do you think I should up the size of injector to get reasonable results. Not trying for and speed records just want to pull some of the Hills in the Sierras a little better. The engine is naturally aspirated. When I hit a hill I go down to 1 or second gear. The air intake for the engine now is 4 inch and the turbo will give me 6 inch.

Yes you should use bigger injectors so you don't need to turn the pressure up as high on fuel system to get the performance your are looking for.

If you want good advice on that motor look up Pittsburgh power , they used to build lots of those older motors
