D60 water pump leak multiple times

    Got a 1999 freightliner with a detroit 60 12.7.
    Over the past year I've had to put 2 water pumps on this thing for leaks out of the weep hole. It's back again for another leak out of the weep hole. What can cause 3 water leaks at the same place in less then 1 year?

    I have the same problem but my pumps failed faster. First one Detroit reman after 1k and the second Heldex 6k.

    Flush your coolant system really good and use proper coolant. ELC (50/50).

    I do use extended life, but a good flush might actually help if for some reason there is some sort of debris flowing throughout.
    Can't see anything but wouldn't take much I suppose.
    I'll definitely do this on the 3rd unit
