I heard of DAC-FIX on satellite radio, then I saw it as a sponsor here. I figured that being a direct service they could get the job done quicker than I could, especially having to deal with USIS and being on the phone all the time, well I was WRONG.
They sent me my new DAC and only 1 thing was changed out of several, and I spoke to them about one certain issue and they have not responded yet, that was a few weeks ago....now they have a recording, leave our info and we'll get back to you...sure.
So I am out $150.00,and I figured that I would post this to let other drivers know that this service is far from what they claim to be and do..
So be forewarned of spending your money for a service that ultimately gives you a GOOSE.

What was the issue that u wanted fixed...??
    You did not list it....

They claim to get all unwarnented claims off your DAC not blanted driver wrong doings..

They are not a driver bailout program..

    .
I'd like to know what was the issue?

I just got a copy of my DAC last week. And was pleased to see, that some companies I thought would nail me on something....gave me a satisfactory report.

All of them had: Rehire, subject to interview. Which is normal.

    Zero complaints, accidents, or incidents.

I guess I've been fortunate enough to work for some honest companies.

the issue was a claim that a local company that I worked for claimed I quit under dispatch....but the nature of that business is you show up,wait and get dispatched to your deliveries....not the the day before, plus I am having a hard time contacting the folks now at dac-fix.
    That was the situation.

What you need to do is insist on speaking with Victor. He'll take care of you and make sure. I will speak with him as well on this as they are not like that. I also imagine there is quite a bit more to this story...I'll find out and let you all know.

I'm not trying to make you look like a liar. Need to watch your guilty conscience if you get this hot over it man. All I am saying is there are TWO sides to every story. Now, why would you respond like that. I KNOW them very well and KNOW how they are. They, though, like me, deal with a lot of crap man. Look, eventually I ignore people who are not sensible. Not saying this about you. But, the customer is NOT always right. Period. Like I said, I'll post the whole story here soon, or at least their side and I have a feeling it is more to it. Possibly there isn't anything they can do about it? IF you tried disputing it on your own before and lost it will be on forever and NO ONE can fix it then. They tell people that up front though so I don't know what happened in your situation, but let's find out and be fair is all I am saying.

    I agree
We will just have to see the entire story.

    Orginal poster:
If you were at a local capacity in which you stated the 2-week notice rule comes into effect for sure. As with most employers require this to replace u wheather you just had to sit around or not ..

It's the norm in this industry OTR to just return equipment where company wants. All is mostly good.

But in local if you were on the list and your notice (if given) was not over then , YES u did quit under a dispatch even if u just assumed there would not be a load for u . You were on the dispatch list.. Plain and simple.

If you want to refute claim a copy of your written notice can solve this verbal notices are no good it becomes a he said, she said situtstion you will not win..

If this ends up the case consider it a lesson learned..

MCR's review didn't strike me as over the top at all. We all know DAC is crap. Though I think his results would have been similar if he dealt with it himself.

As far as what DAC-FIx has to say, well that doesn't settle anything in my view. They have an economic interest in their response. I don't think it should be used in any way fairly to discredit a forum member. At best there will remain two sides to the story like anything else.

Wise-one's endorsement of them is just as valuable, and I see nothing here that would keep me from trying them in the future if needed.
