The employment laws as they are written do consider orientation working for the company.
Just think of it this way: If a drive my truck off the road, I know I'm drunk, but call and say I quit before the cops show up, would I still get a failed test on my DAC?

It Takes Awhile, Just Like Doing A Credit Report Fix, But It Paid Off For Me And They Are Still After More At No Charge. 134 Dollars Is A Cheap If Your Looking To Take A Long Time Of Crap In The Furture
Alot Of Tricky Thing Can Happen, Its Worth The Shot. DACFIX.COM -
My husband and I went thru Roadmaster recently and are trying to find the best of the "starter" companies out there to get experience with. I have been reading alot of posts on this site and been getting some really great information to do my own research on.
However we've hit kindof a road block. We both have our CDL A's now, with all endorsements. We applied to a few companies that we thought would be the top of the bottom of the barrell, because let's face it! When you're a newbe, you only get to choose the best of the bottom until you have something to show under your belt. So, we both graduated at the top of our class' we both recieved awards for outstanding testing scores. We applied to a few companies.
We've been shot down by 2 of the 3 applied to already and the third is still up in the air in processing. The problem isn't me. They would take me in a heartbeat. The problem is my husband on his DAC he had a prescription felony from 04' that was dismissed in court. It shows up on his DAC and it shows a dismissal. But the responses I have gotten so far from both companies is that now they can afford to be picky, since he has anything on his record even though it's been dismissed they have denied his application. His record is clean. All charges have been expunged off his record.
What is the best way to get this off his DAC so we can start making money together? Should we just dispute this thru USIS ourselves or is it better that we hire a company to do this for us? Anyone out there have expierience having to do this? What happened to you? Did you get your record cleaned? How long does it take etc etc.. Any and all information would be helpful! We put all our money into this career path so we could team together and we are going to be starving soon if we can't find work. -
conact the sponser at the top of the page on this site....for what they charge it's worth easily what they know about how it works....let alone their services....
-you've spent this much money on a career....what will a few more dollars for advice from people who are experienced at it amount to? I'm currently working with them and the amount of money spent was worth the info. I've gotten on the phone about things.....and we haven't even gotten all the way "in it" yet.
-As for the economy there's nothing we can do....
They can awnser your questions about time and everything....
-Not to curb anyone else's advice....just my opionion. -
Thank you for the quick reply! It is nice to hear from someone who has used the service adds. You never know now'a days if they take your money and you don't get anything out of it. How long have you been working with them on your report? Did they give you a time frame?
Faber Thanks this. -
Has anyone disputed information on their own? And has it worked or not been worth it? How big of a hassle really is it?
-
DACFix is an option but in these tighht economic times why pay for something you can do yourself for free. If you go to the Motor Carrier Questions section there is a sticky at the top entitled DAC. I have posted information there as to how to go about the process of correcting/rebutting the DAC report.
leanerbeaner and Faber Thank this. -
i believe that you can dispute, but that you only get one chance....so if your gonna do it on your own- you better do it right. Also, I believe you have access to a 'free' report on the same basis as the credit report agencies (neither ussis/dac or credit buereu are actually government agency- there nothing more then for-profit information collecting agenicies that are both necessary and also need to have checks and balances installed) .....a free copy of ur report would (I'm guessing) be under the;
-once a year
-if denied employment
I hate to give advice on this, as it's a touchy subject that as you know can give you a large amount of grief. Hopefully someone will chime in here....best I can tell you is that the company that sponsers this site has done right by me, always returning phone calls, advizing me on things I wouldn't have known about/noticed looking at my DAC myself....etc.
- I would be uterlly shocked if they ripped you off....(think of the amount of bad word of mouth they'd get here)....
-there fee's for knowledge and experience are very resonable (if you were to compare to some other form of legall advice- which is basically what your looking for)
-If you only get one chance at rebutle, noone can tell you weather to go it your own- or contact them....but I know what I did.
Hope some of this helps....mayb someone else will chime in, at worste I just bumped your thread back to the top. Good Luck.Baack Thanks this.
