DAC report. is it true?

Hireright is not going anywhere right now. However a warning. One day I will be proven right on this. Facebook! You would be shocked at the amount of driver queries that are made on Facebook. It is illegal as hell but done. I am trying to get a driver hired with a carrier in Richmond. I got a Facebook request asking what I knew about the driver. @x1Heavy correctly said it. There are other places where most of this information hireright has on you can be gotten. Most people when pushed will at some point acknowledge the information hireright reports on them is right. They just don't like having their driving history available like this, especially when they have accidents. One more thing about that DAC report. I know this because I have friends in Safety and Human resources depts all over. Most carriers don't go by DAC alone. If you have a otherwise clean DAC but something that might concern them is on that report they will send a fax or email to the carrier. Sometimes this is why people have to wait for days waiting on a prehire. Some carriers do criminal background checks. They pull MVRs and along with DAC make hiring decisions. I am not sure if I ever mentioned this but hireright has a mistake on my DAC. They have a speeding ticket I got in NC back in 2003 listed two times. So I know there are mistakes in the database. My point is most of the times carriers can see these mistakes and will ignore them. Where hireright alone is used some is that yearly review. The report is formatted in such a way as to satisfy the rules made by the FMCSA.

 

There is zero need for DAC specifically and anyone can do the DOT mandated employment verification just as easily as HireRight can.

 

Sadly, that's not entirely out of the scope of possibility.

 

Facebook is also the source for Bankrupcy Lawyers with Notepads adding up the amount and presence of property inside the pictures people post. ZH has recently posted a article about how these Lawyers are wrestling with People who don't actually own the boat they are taking a selfie at the wheel etc for example.

I do not do FB. In fact, Israel just this week passed a Law criminalizing anyone who dares to incite against a Nation State or it's Government via Facebook. While it has been revealed that our US Government simply takes what it wants from the People who upload and post to same this month without a warrant.

I can argue that FB has morphed into a tool for the State to Prosecute and Enslave the People that dare use it. I don't think so.

Israel can pass all the "hate speech" laws they want. They have zero precedence in the US. Although since Obama and Congress thought it was a good idea to give control of our DNS for the internet to a "public" panel or group our rights may soon be taken away in Cyberspace.

 

Sure. The control of the DNS root servers fall outside of the USA now into the hands of other Nations such as China, Russia etc. Americans no longer have domain over the basic root name directory servers that form the foundation of the Internet.

Remember that when someone that is a State passes a law or acts to say as California did charge a motorist for Caffinated driving after seizing his blood recently, it's form a dangerous slope and gives those law makers of all kinds various ideas to advance similar laws inside the USA.
