Yo guys and gals , I was just wondering if there was a panel or mediators to hear a case from both the accuser and the accused before anything is allowed to be placed on your DAC . There seems to be a hearing board for such professionals in the medical field , law enforcement and the military but nothing seems to be in place for the driver whose DAC is available for any company to soil for whatever reason. We can’t seem to have a legitimate fallout with a company without the fear of an illegitimate claim being made on our DAC . That DAC is the billboard that advertises for each and every driver and it just seems that something that is so pertinent to the driver is so easily accessible to a disgruntled employer to defile with no consideration given to the driver to at least refute. We all deserve the right to face our accusers and have our voice heard . We could change this if we band together and bring this to light . Support on this issue would be greatly appreciated as this affects us ALL . Please don’t wait for this snake to bite YOU before deciding to take action. Only a matter of time ... I’m just saying...

I'm not even sure what exactly that is, actually.
DAC, PRP, CSA, DVR, SMD...I'll probably be out of the business or dead before I know precisely which is what. -
if something is on your DAC, and you feel it is wrong, YOU HAVE to contact DAC and make a statement. from there DAC (actually Hire RIght) has (is supposed to) contact the people making that report on you.
if it does not get settled or retracted, (many times it is not), you then have to add a rebuttle to that claim.
now, not too many companies even look at a DAC report anymore, but many others do, and sometimes, they DO NOT LOOK beyond the statement the company made about you, so your rebuttle is a moot point to them. -
Not all companies use DAC. And DAC has to follow the same rules as any of the credit reporting agencies. You can protest anything on there and DAC has to contact the reporting company to verify. If you can't get something removed, you can send a letter with your side of the issue and it will be included in your report.

DAC or HireRight as it’s known today, falls under the same guidelines as the 3 major credit bureaus. Just like there can be egregious falsehoods on your equifax or transunion credit transcript, so can there be an egregious entry on your HireRight transcript. HireRight tells you right on your transcript about the fair credit reporting act and how they fall under those guidelines. There is no panel of people sitting behind a tribunal desk, making decisions where people’s careers hang in the balance. As the others above me pointed out, you can challenge an entry that you feel is inaccurate on your transcript. That is you defending yourself, that’s you facing your accuser. If you find something wrong and you contest it, HireRight will notify the carrier to clarify within 30 days. If they don’t, then the entry is removed. Hope this helps.

First time I used DAC, the first guy had 23 jobs in 24 months and every one had a rebuttal attached!
We didn't bother reading any of it and moved on. Don't be like that guy!buddyd157 Thanks this. -
