Expedite companies are having tough times like everybody else . FedEx Custom Critical And Panther have cut rates on cargo vans . TriState cut their flat rate on straight trucks from $1.20 a mile to $1.05 a mile . Once one carrier cut rates the others feel they have to follow . One problem I have with FedEx CC is they discount the FSC for preferred customers . The fuel used for these customers doesn't cost less than it does for other customers . There should be one FSC for all customers .
Since expedite companies use all O/O's and many of the trucks are operated by drivers contracted to fleet owners , many issues don't directly involve the carrier but are between the fleet owners and contracted drivers . The carriers don't get involved with these issues .
One company to avoid at all costs is All Types Expediting . Nobody knows how they stay in business . They were removed as a sponsor from a major expediter site after numerous complaints of them ripping people off . I have never seen an All Types truck on the road .

    Baack Thanks this.

Our company did that with one company once. When I found out the difference, I called the terminal manager and talked to him. Told him, that when I fill up, I do not receive a discount for the fuel pulling this load. It still cost me the same. I also advised, if the rate was not going to be the same, I was only 26 miles away and would bring the load back.

Hubby's DAC report that we requested came today. We decided to send off for a copy since that seems to be the recommended thing to do. I sent it for him and I requested these three things:

    MVR
    DAC report for employment history
List of companies that have made inquiries

When the report came today there is nothing in there that appears to be an MVR. There should not be anything on the MVR but there is nothing saying that either.

There is a three page list of where he was in school back last summer and those companies that gave him a pre-hire letter had inquired into several things on his background.

And then there is a single page letter that says the following: At the present time we have no information on file from your previous employers for social security number ......

So does this mean the DAC is clean as it should be? Does this mean his present employer that he has been with since last June has not reported anything? Why does it not at least show where he is employed?

    Thanks for any help.

I was reading a post on another forum complaining about Midwest Expediting . The post said Midwest required a $200 deposit be sent with the application for drug testing and processing fees . That sound like All Types to me . Sure enough somebody replied it's the same people , different name . Avoid that one too .

Since your hubby still works for the company it won't appear on his DAC.
If your hubby and company depart from one another then that company will appear on his DAC if the company chooses to put any information on the report.:biggrin_25525:
