However, if you get any tickets while you have your CDL, they will appear on the DAC. And, once you get hired, your past history may catch up and end up on your DAC(not sure if it does as this makes things seem like you did a no-no while you had a CDL).
When considering a person for employment they will ask what your previous "record" is. That is when you are upfront and tell them.
If you don't they will find out when they run thier check on you.
You can get a copy of your MVR from your state DOT or MV office.
Your insurance agency may(can) provide one for you as well, although there may be an associated cost.
All you have to do is give them your SSI # and DL # or CDL# and your name(which they don't really need).
They can get all the poop on you they need to make thier descision.cool breeze Thanks this. -
If someone was scheduled to go to Oreintation and didn't show up, would that company put that on your dac report. My friend was suppose to go to werners oreintation back in march and didn't show up. Right now he can't seem to get a job.
-
It may show up, it depends how you treated them. Did he tell them he wasn't coming for orientation? That is the courteous thing to do isn't it? What goes around
.... you know the rest. God bless! -
They did that to me several years ago. I went to work for them right after I got out of school. When I quit they reported to DAC Services that I had had 6 "accidents" with them. I went up there and spoke to their office. After going thru 2 or 3 people I was shown what was in my file. 1 was an accident that was clearly the other persons fault, (even the officer stated it in his report). 1 was an accident that was my fault when I first got out on my own, and the other 3 were where people had hit my truck in the parking lot (I am very picky about where I park now btw). The last one was where the wash rack had reported some damage to a turn signal that happened on the yard while someone else was driving it and I was off. Long story short noone but J.B. would hire me after that. 3 months after I went to J.B. Wiley Sanders sent me a letter requesting me to come back to them. I have never returned.

We all have to watch our own backs in this industry. Stop agreeing to work for these companies that use USIS/DAC and you'll see how fast they change their tune....

If anyone believes that USIS/DAC reports are 100% accurate, you need to have your head checked. This is a reporting system that has absolutely no system of checks and balances and has been proven to be abused by carriers time and time again. Don't let any carrier tell you that using this system is necessary becuase trucking i SO safety sensitive. It is not. There are many much more highly senitive jobs in this country that do not subscibe to these type of reporting systems. Do you know that USIS is allowed to obtain a report on a driver without his permission becuase there is a special clause that exempts carriers from obtaining authorization from a driver. THIS IS ONLY FOR THE TRUCKING INDUSTRY. Dont believe the hype.

I just received a copy of my dac report and i think it has false aquasations on it. I worked for roehl back in 12/2004 and left after 3 days of orientation because the trainer blew up at a person i was with in the truck and that made me uncomfortable to work for their company, so I basicly told them I don't like the way they treat there drivers and i don't want to work for their company, anyways now I am getting back into trucking doing my 240 hour school all over again but on my dac it says for roehl work record: no show/quit/dismissed during training/orientation/probation and for accident/Incident record it states: Equipment was involved in a occurrence or act that produced unitended injury, death, property damageof any type, or resulted in the equipment requiring a tow (other than mechanical breakdown) while assigned to the driver regardless of fault. Adverse information is reported for 7 years.
Number of dot recordable accindents less than 7 years old = 0
Number of non dot recordable accindents/Incidents less than 7 years old = 0. No additional accindent/incident information available. Now my question is that heading thats mentioned above for the accindent/incident record, is that something thats on all dac reports or is that something roehl put in there because my dot and non dot recordables is 0 I never had an accident with them. Anybody with any knoledge about dac reports can you please help me. -
were you or werent you in an accident? if not, then obviously they have put false information on your report.
-
trans am did the same thing to me when I quit after being with their second "trainer." the "equipment accident/death/damage" thing. they completely lied/made this up as I had absolutely NO incidents whatsoever while I was their chauffeur. I haven't gotten around to sending them a letter to dispute this false information.
why isn't DAC/USIS/useless or whatever they're calling themselves these days being sued for slander/credit fraud/supplying false information?
