Spelling bully???? I just hope that some folks here on this forum will use the tools afforded to them on the forum to help them with spelling and grammar. I for one enjoy reading everything someone has to write. I've found that it works both ways for me, I've been able to learn from people and have been able to educate others with my 20+ years out there. I'm not a "Spelling Bully", I just want to try and understand what is being said. With our little dialog here I'm quite sure it has helped some people already. Thanks for your input and I will take your remarks to heart.

Where can a person get a DAC report like the one a company will look get?
Do guys without a CDL even have a DAC, or does it have all the info on it except for the cdl stuff? What does a company look at if you dont have a cdl when you want to go to their school?
I sure would like to see what is on my history that companies will get.
Thanks -
if you do not have a CDL yet, then you are not going to have a DAC report. these are created by the trucking companies for drivers that have worked for them. if you are starting out, then you do not have one. now what the companies look at for one who is starting out, is your driving record and your criminal record. more companies are getting more sensitive on criminal records. especially felonies. they are now not hiring anyone with a felony under 10 years old, and there are a few that are not hiring any felons at all.
this is kind of crazy since if you have had a felony and have your hazmat endorsement and a TWIC card, you passed a federal background check, but companies do not care about those, and they claim it is what their insurance company says.
also you must also pass a DOT physical too.lynryd Thanks this. -

even tho i never have had a cdl, i applied with HireRight to get my DAC report or whatever they send you.
Now I have a dui from when i was a kid, around '89 (cant remember the exact date!).
The report they sent showed no information on the criminal check, or drug check or work history.
I have tried to find my records (needle in a haystack!) for the dui, and they were before the county here went to computers. so they have to go to the archives and look thru the paper or microfish or whatever.... they have looked for the time period (spring 89) and have not found anything. I also checked with the county police and they have no way of tracking this either (so they say).
So anyway, how would anyone find this information if the county i live in and was charged in cannot even find it?
I believe the charge was suppose to be dropped from my record at some point, but cannot for-the-life-of-me remember the details. That is why I would like to know if it is still out there to be pulled up by companies.
uh!............ [scratching head!] -

Find a company not using DAC. Smaller companies around your area or O/Os
