Dac report

It stays! They aren't the MVR but a private company and unless you contest the report and they decide your protest is legit it stays.

Me, I'd like to see the gooberment pass a law that these bottom feeders must make it harder for companies to post a report on drivers such as a 500 word report on the driver and it can NOT be a form letter as DAC MUST match them up with other reports. And they can NOT pay companies to post reports on drivers!

This could do several things, the bottom feeder you drove for that wanted to "make sure you didn't drive again" or some moron idiot safety director has to actually WORK to ding a report and because they no longer receive compensation to file it won't be to their advantage just to log on and type a name and click a few buttons and they're done in less than 2 minutes! Well there goes that source of income
#2 is, I want them to have to spend time on the web site and fill out the report and do a 500 word which takes time such as NO CUT AND PASTE!!! And companies like hire right will have to go over EVEY report filed and match it with not only this reporting company but against others to make sure that they aren't sharing these "letters of interest" with each other as safety directors are a club just like the 1st Sargent's Club or the MChiefs Club a lot of us are familiar with! I think this will hurt them enough that they'll have to charge Bottom Feeder Inc. more for a report and thus companies will stop paying stupid costs and have to start making calls again like the old days! Pay safety personnel less as well as trucking companies like to screw employees these office personnel will have to put in more time so less pay for more work and it's cheaper than something like $20 per report DAC charges!

Looks like we could put these reporting companies out of business! Time to write a few congress critters!

I thought they had to confirm to the same laws as credit reporting companies ??

Some old stuff was on mine, I requested it removed.....it was gone !!!

Maybe I was just lucky !!

 

So when a company puts something on your DAC that you can't get removed, they don't want you to work for them and want to keep it so no one will hire you I guess you are just SOL?

 

Yes and no, you can contest anything they put on there............

Get a copy, and check into it, sometime they add nothing !!

DAC Is owned by USIS You have a right to a Copy of your DAC report For Free. I have a recent copy of Mine, It Goes Back ten years, But It only shows information as to rehire, etc for the last ten.
I have Disputed with USIS/DAC and successfully had a Companies negative report removed. Terminology and Proof that the company is full of bull is key.

Only it's not about your finances, it is about your driving record and what companies you worked for, and why you left those companies.

 

It is a web based service that trucking information is put into from the day a driver receives his CDL permit.
Good and bad information in provided to this service. But, they get paid for the bad information.

I think it's bull the way companies can screw you on your DAC and there really isn't much you can do about it, no wonder people go postal

BUT DO NOT SIT THERE AND TAKE IT! If you want, you can chuck out $189 to DacFix. They do the exact thing you can do. Now they did quote me on this way back in post#182 page 19 and said

I guess I'm in that 10% as I darn sure saved a lot of hard earned money!

Now to be completely honest with you and I'll step on a few toes as there is a trick with doing it yourself. You MUST write as if you have 2 brain cells working together! I'm talking about spelling and sentence structure and proper punctuation or all the stuff you should have learned by the 6th grade.

If you send in a rebuttal form that looks like some of the posts you have seen in here and other forums where you needed someone to translate the post, then pay DacFix the money as you will be wasting your time as your rebuttal will hit the trashcan and be deleted! And your one chance at rebutting an unfair report is gone as they stated in their quote above.

If you know you have a problem spelling or writing then get someone to help you! A family member that can or a friend that can but don't send in something that looks like a kiddiegarder wrote it. I'm being completely honest with you! I'm not trying to be a member of the spelling police but truthful! HireRight will trash it if they can't understand it!

My next suggestion for all of you is to go to hireright.com and look through the WHOLE website!

They do not want you to know somethings and hope you don't go looking all through the site but there is information you need there per the fair credit reporting act!

Things such as old information, how to rebut, the rebutal form, the free report and other stuff that you can do that costs THEM MONEY to do! How's that for payback! When you file a rebuttal then Bottom Feeder Inc (your old company) has to also waste time and money to respond which actually takes the money they got paid to report on you out of their pocket so they hope you don't find out about it either! BUT go all through the website and click on everything in there and follow the paths that can help you out such as the driver with 10 year old information. HireRight does not HAVE to remove anything on your record unless you tell them NO older information that can hurt your chances of gaining employment! Yep it's there and I did it for FREE!

Now I know DacFix is an advertiser on TTR and I'm glad they are as it might cost us to be a member but I still do not advocate that outrageous price to fill out the EXACT SAME FORM you can do for free! That makes me think of the pay for per diem rip going on out there! With over 3 million drivers they can make money without overpricing themselves like that and slamming an out of work person!

Thank God I know how to write and use a spell checker and to reread what I write even though I do miss things every once in a while but crapola happens after radiation, chemo and brain surgery!
