    Another option you can take is to US69 South at Denison down to Greenville, then TX34 South which will put you back out on I-45 at Ennis. That is only 15 miles more than taking 75 to downtown Dallas and I-45 South. Yes, 2 lanes and small towns, but at only 30-45 minutes extra, your not sitting in traffic.

    Ah ok, that makes more sense. That sounds like a good bypass route around Dallas.

    US 287 and US 281 both run through Wichita Falls. 281 goes north, 287 goes northwest.
