Damage caused by an airbag itself? No, I've not seen airbags that tall being used and they are made from plastic lined thick paper so I don't see how they could damage a roof. Can you explain how this happened?
-
Maybe they aired it up with propane and tried to put a cigarette out with it
-
Usually they are in front, back, or to the sides.. never heard of one against the roof.
-
only damage i've ever seen/received was because the dumb dumb loading the trailer lifted the forks too high and the mast hit the roof, or the load poked holes--whichever was higher at the time.
As far as airbags are concerned, only thing I could think of would be inflating them to the point of splitting the rivets on the trailer walls, but even that seems ridiculous... -
Not on top of plts, the bags were on the sides and the walls were bulging bad , he saw it and freaked out , they said dont worry about it , yeah right. we run a reefer with a chute , it can not work that way. no one hit the roof inside or out . no marks , of any kind.
-
If the walls were bulging, and I have seen this quite a bit especially with the new ultra light trailers, how did that damage the roof?
-
the roof is sagging along with the chemlite insulation
-
ok, gotcha
I was scratching my head thinking of a dry van. Still, I can't say I've heard of damage to the roof. Even with the walls bulging a little. If I saw that I would probably stopped the loader and told them to air the bags up a little less.
