Did you see any bearing wear or damage?

I believe some parts might not have needed to be replaced but they said it was cheaper to buy the kit, instead of buying individual. i will need to go back up to inspect the bearings

Yes, the shiny bearing race in behind the gear that is behind the interaxle differential.

I'm just thinking if it doesn't really need bearings and it shouldn't at 250,000 why spend a thousand dollars on them and the labor to replace them, it's kind of pointless. Plus the fact that if your not replacing the bearings you don't need to pull it for the repair. Or is it already pulled out?

You can cut the 5.3 hours labor if you don't pull it to replace bearings.
You can cut the 1.0 hours for cleaning housing.
You can cut the 10 hour PD repair time in half if you don't pull it to replace bearings.
They show 2.8 hours for thru shaft replacement then show an additional hour for shaft repair?
It's an 8 hour job to repair the thru shaft and interaxle differential and they're expanding it into a total rebuild.
