36 cpm split 1 year exp 38 cpm split 2-3 year exp 40cpm 3-5 year exp. If you get 18, 000 team miles in a month each driver gets 2cpm raise for all miles driven that month. If you get 20, 000 miles in a month each driver gets 4cpm raise. Me abd my partner get 18, 000 easy every month and 20, 000 once in a while too. You also get a quarterly bonus which goes like if you get 18, 000 miles each three months 54, 000 in a quarter you get another 1cpm for all miles. If you get 20, 000 niles each three months 60, 000 in a quarter you get another 2cpm for each driver for all miles. This is my quarter roughly 57, 000 miles @ .18cpm plus bonus equals .22 cpm at 57, 000 miles(1month was a 20, 000mile month) which equals $12, 540 for three months or about $4, 200 a month which in my book ain't bad and I only have one year exp my partner has 5 year exp so he gets 20cpm plus bonus equals 24cpm at 57, 000 miles in quarter which equals $13, 680 in three months or about $4, 600 a month. Danny herman treats us like family they all know our names and families and we make a good living I love it here guys, hope this info helped. Some guys with ten year exp with dht make 25cpm teaming plus bonuses...

I wonder what happened to this poster? Disappeared huh? Said was going to call them and put this to rest... blah, blah, blah... :biggrin_2559: Well, I did call them today. With my 5 yrs experience and driving record they would start me at .36 cpm. I didn't ask about the bonuses and extra pays... Their safety score on equipment is 31 % not too bad... they have Internationals and Kenworths with double bunk, all 10 speed. They have Prepass, Ezpass... 99% no touch freight and some Hazmat. 50% d&hook, 50% pick up & deliver.Said they have their own customers and don't use brokers... Really? Said average length of haul is 1400... Really? For solos? I wonder... They go south, southwest and midwest and CA and no northeast. Said 30% of their fleet is using Qualcom elog. Said one can get 1 and half day off for each week on the road and can stay on the road for as long as they want... I like that. Anyway, I couldn't find their terminal on Google satellite view... Does anybody here have their address? I intend to visit them. They said will be glad to set an appointment and show me around, operations, dispatchers, shop, trucks, everything. :biggrin_25519: I want to talk to their drivers.
Does anybody here drive for them?

If so, how many miles does DHT give you per week? What regions do they normally run? What is the percentage of Hazmat? What kind of loads do they pull? What is the speed of their trucks. Do they keep their trucks well maintained and offer good roadside assistance? Do they communicate well with their drivers? Do they give reasonable p/up and dlver schedules? Do you have payment issues?
I wonder what happened to the op...

Nice people at Danny Herman. Very driver orientated. Been here a short while and made the bonus almost every month. If you want to work and make money, they keep you going. Have not had any issues getting home time. They take care of the trucks when there is a problem. Many of the drivers have been here for many years. There are companies that pay more per mile, but if you don't get the miles. they can pay you 90 cents a mile, what do you make? Not much. Bottom line is, if you want to work and will work, you will make good money.

How long have you been there? I read other DHT solo drivers wrote this company gave them good miles on the first month and then miles dropped to less than 2000 per week and they would have to team up cause only teams were making good miles. What do you know about it?
They can pay you 90 cpm??? To a company driver??? Could you be more specific? What does it mean if you don't get the miles?
You wrote you don't make much but if you work hard you make good money.... Well.... how hard do you have to work to make how much?
Do you solo drivers go above I-40? Where do you go in the mid-west region?
I know company has terminal near Mount City, TN and near Lebanon, MO. Where else? Any other terminal in TN? Or anywhere else? Thanks for the responses.

I have been here 4months but have friends that have been here for many years. Go to DannyHerman.com. It will give you information on pay and experience. Terminals in Fontana, Ca., Laredo, TX, El Paso, Tx, Mountain City as mentioned. Call 1-800-331-3725 and ask for: She helped me a lot and is very nice. She can answer all your questions.Leila Brown

Hey Lovestodrive.... Thanks for the info. Yes, I did check their website but not much info there. I talked to a gentleman recruiter. But I like to talk to older drivers you know... actually I like to visit the terminal before committing to orientation. Recruiter told me we could set an appointment and he would be glad to show me everything, operations, trucks, shop, dispatching... but I don't like talking to drivers with a recruiter looking over our shoulders...

So, how long do you stay on the road and how many miles do you average per week? Does your truck have one or two bunks? What kind of transmission? Do they give you enough time to p/up and deliver? Do they use brokers? Do you pull Hazmat? If so, what percentage is HM? Do you touch freight? Where is their terminal in Mountain City, NC? Street address shows only a house on Google... where is the terminal?

Dht is a really good company!! Used to the only solo drivers were the owner operators unless that's changed.. Me and my hubby teamed for over 4 years with them. They are good to their drivers. Christmas bonuses. Good incentives for bonus miles.. We would still be there. But I had a baby and hubby decided to come home too for a bit. That was 7 years ago. I miss that company they were good in so many ways! They let me stay home for almost a month and let hubby go solo so I could spend some time with my dying grandmother and that doesn't include the 2 weeks they let me stay home when she had the surgery for her cancer. We brought home around 13-1600 a week sometimes more. And during our time with them we had 4 calls of family members passing one that was his mom. And even 12 hours from home headed the opposite direction. They told us to head home immediately and they would find us someone to take our load. So yea go with them!!
