Honest question, I'm a company driver and have never bought or leased a truck. Why do people lease instead of just buying a truck for 35k and keeping 35k in the bank? I don't understand that. Save some money get a loan for some and you're not at risk of losing your truck if you take a vacation. Is it just because people want a truck now instead of stacking money for years?
People are looking for instant gratification. Many want to reap the rewards without putting forth the necessary effort or even doing the homework to understand what it takes to be successful. How many people can drive a truck but that's a small part of it. You must be able to manage your time and your money.
I didn't know if there was something I was missing or what. Ok yeah that's just backwards. I get buying a truck and signing on to a company and running under them for the insurance and fuel and all that but I'll pass on the lease.
