This is 100% right as you can tell he was severely distracted from the lack of any braking prior to 15 feet from the moment of impact and the fact he was doing at least 10mph faster then the other trucks.

10 mph faster than a truck governed @ nearly 10 mph below the speed limit is, well, pretty much doing the speed limit...

Ooohhh, you're one of those that think if it say "speed limit 65" 65 is the minimum speed to be in the left lane. And you are so wrong.
Dash cam grabbed the left lane to pass the slow truck gaining speed. Kenworth had plenty of time to see why he moved in the left lane.
Dash cam slowed down when he saw a crash was eminent, before Kenworth figured out he was going to crash.
Look at the custom sticker Kenworth had on his rub rails?? That shows his mentality. He shouldn't ever of had a cdl and hopefully he can't get insurance after this.

I would have (and actually have) too if I seen the wreck about to happen. It's called getting out of harms way. What if that coil went left instead of right and he maintained speed? No, I'd want the fallout where I can manage it, not happening on my side where I can't see (as well).

If that coil had been properly tied down, it might not have left the truck so easily. So perhaps W9 made more than 1 mistake that day. He is lucky to be alive.

Bad situation all around, but I had to laugh at that. "Do as I say, not as I do!"

Lot's to look at in this vid. Had to download the HD version to analyze. Dude's left arm is resting on the window sill before impact. Brake light (left side not working) comes on at 0:41, impact is at 0:42. Can't really see what happened to the engine. Must have got shoved to the right as there's a big oil streak along the fog line. The power steering rez tumbles out from underneath.
IMHO it looks like not enough tie downs were used on the coil. Hard to see though.

    Botello had no 4-ways on.

Looks to me like the dashcam driver didn't slow until after the impact. Not sure why he deserves negative comments from some of you. Wish he had the mic turned on.

Holy crap! 5 out of 6 vehicle inspections resulted in OOS.

Its very Unsafe to try to pass vehicles in the right lane. Unfortunately, the guy in the KW is going to have to figure it out the hard way.

I watched the wheels locking up a few times. It almost looks like the left side drive tires spin backwards a couple times before locking. Almost like the engine or drivetrain locked everything up.
