    It's a Diesel Boss unit. It's on my FM radio only. I tried it in the wife's car and there is no static. It was a xmas present so not sure if they will exchange it out.

    I can exchange the power cord for you if you like. If another OEM cord does not change the symptom, then there is an incompatibility with the frequency and shielding combo in tandem between your FM radio and the cord. For instance you say that there is no static in your wife's car with it. PM me or call with the shipping address that it was originally sent to so I can look it up. And let me then know if a replacement cord should go to that same address or not.

    Don sent another power cord and this seems to fix the problem. It's nice when companies stand behind their products. THANKS
