    This.

Also get a laptop with an sd card slot if you can. Put the micro sd in a holder that goes in the slot and you can transfer files easier. The "Drive" app works but connectivity seems to not work when you're desperately trying to get a segment out.
And as Arctic_Fox mentioned, the sd cards go bad. Get an extra

The quality doesn’t look the greatest. I’m assuming it’s because of being transferred to YouTube. Were you abele to get license plate number of that flatbed?

The raw file is a little better but still not perfect. I had more video as the driver came up to the spot. Truck number, drivers face. I think that was a Garmin45 (1080p). I have a Garmin67 (1440p) now

Yup the 45 was decent for what it was and mine still works great, but the 60 series are better all around. And with bigger 512gb+ cards being pretty cheap now the 1440 or better cams can still record like 6 to 8 hours of video.

From the moron who ran a red with my old rig. That said i know im planning to upgrade my dashcam to the X310 soon. Better image, much clearer and better night vision too. Also in 4k.

Though im also waffleing on going to one of the 360 degree solutions as well with how many near rear ends ive had this month....had one guy miss me by about an inch by diving into the grass when he couldnt stop.

I have used several brands. When I used this one, I don't buy anything else. That's just me. I am NOT taking anything away from any other camera. There are many good dash cams. I have used Garmin 45 & 55. That's my limited experience with Garmin. I am sure there are newer models with lots of better features etc. I am NOT knocking Garmin or any other brand. But, when I went to this cam, I don't buy anything else. Like many others, I have these in 3 personal vehicles and two in my truck.
FYI, this is the V1... There are other models of this camera and I have used them but, I went back to the V1.. the early model.

    Again, just my preference.

Just an FYI, look at the camera's capibilities to record in detail in low light or at night time, specifically numbers on trailers and plates.

We had a a truck hit at a Pilot last july at night, and the dashcam did not pick up the trailer number.
