It's not a gps. It is just the camera. It has GPS tagging though. So it records the lat/long plus speed on the screen when you save the video or pics.
They all come with everything you need in the box, except a SD card. You will have to purchase that separately. The big difference between the two models is the field of view. I like the model I have, however the field of view is pretty narrow. So it really doesn't see the traffic from side streets very well. Which if you have a car Come from the side.....chances are, mine won't see it unless it is past the middle of your hood. Where as the 67w has a wider field of view and it will see more.
It has a usb plug and adapter that goes into the cigarette lighter for power. It saves data to a SD card in the unit. The unit is pretty small. A little smaller than a go pro. It connects to your phone wirelessly so you can save pics and video then email them.
Personally, I think the best one out there is BlackVue they are a little pricey but rock solid reliability. They’re also small and easy to use and now they come with a option for built in 4G/5G cellular connection and cloud backup. If you head over to BlackBoxMyCar, they have some good pricing and installation kits (if you’re looking to hardwire) as well as accessories like SD cards, battery packs and filters. If you’re going to spend the money on a dash cam, get 4K, it might seem like over kill now, but when you’re trying to zoom in on a license plate or the name of a company on the side of a truck, you’re going to appreciate those extra pixels and the clarity. Nothing worse than have a cheap dash cam and finding out the footage is garbage.
The Diesel Boss setup looks real sweet but I run a Street Guardian Pro. It has coordinates, MPH, date, time and records audio if you want at the push of a button. Although they can help with accidents I actually got mine to defend myself against the police. Had a cop give me a bogus ticket and that prompted my decision. Frankly anything is better than nothing on these roads in today's times.
Holy crap, i need that blackvue where i can see the road and talk through it for my wife.... the number of times she calls me for local directions when im 1000 miles away is insane
