Curious would you still have to go through neutral or would range select be instant . Just trying to imagine the shift procedure .

You are trying to make something that is quite simple and efficient into a more complicated and confusing task.
For some reason the majority of people here feel like the range selector on the shifter equates to sliced bread, perhaps they have experience on the subject?
If you're trying to build a rat rod show truck then I'm all for the cool factor of dash mounted doo dads and square wheels. If you are going to be working and living in the truck my advice is comfort and efficiency.'88K100, HoneyBadger67, Gearjammin' Penguin and 2 others Thank this.
