My guess would be they'd require recent experience for one of their daycab gigs. Worth checking still.

 

Yeah hard to say. I was all bent out of shape too about the idea of going out with a trainer like a couple of my buddies from driving school had to do, and it was one of the reasons Watkins was my first option, but now I don't see what the big deal would be at all. It's just a temporary thing and something that gets built up in your mind as way worse that it really is...kinda like throwing chains. My buddy that went to May was only on his trainer's truck for like 8 or 9 days before they put him in his own. They basically ran out to the east coast and came back to Oregon and out he went.

 

I don't know if it's actually the case but I notice it states you are 62 years old. Given that they didn't offer you a future orientation is it possible this might have to do with your age? Especially if you find out they are still hiring others. I just thought I'd bring it up. If so, I don't believe age discrimination is legal (not that we know that is really occurring here). It's up to you whether you want to look into this further though. Good luck whatever you decide to do.

 

Same thing happened to me, I was supposed to Start with W&S on the 28th of Nov, stayed intouch with Kristy also, and no probems, then less then a week out I got the call also saying the same thing. I was pretty bummed out also, But I now am employed with Prime, and got my first dispatch just today, off to Brooklyn NY. Yippee!! Good luck to you.

Yeah, did 4 days of orientation, and just starting 30k mia month and a halles with a trainer,about a month and a half check out prime threads. Also, much better pay.
