DAT crapped out

I think about that all the time.

 

ITS and DAT seriously need some real competition. They're monopolizing the market. I get tons of work without ever looking at the board but let's face it, when it comes to spot freight there aught to be several available avenues besides TWO choices.

 

I agree but they are capitalizing on the fact that we are sheep. Just like everything else us human sheep do, all flock to the same things at the same time and wear them out until the next great thing comes along.

Why are so many of us on one trucking forum? I mean, I consider myself an individual and rarely follow the herd but I'm a lazy everyday DAT user and TR forum user. I'm sure there are other forums. I found this one, I stayed. Never even Googled another forum since I found this one. So many things go this way.

 

Hah, same. I also don’t have FB. Maybe we are just that kinda people.

 

Truckstop.com, or ITS, is a pile of dog ####. I wish DAT would offer some steller deal to open deck brokers and drivers and shut them down after the crap they pulled on their users over the past few months.

 

I have a FB account because about 15 years ago I was younger and kind of had a social life and everyone else joined in so I did. Stayed on there about a week. Then I realized I don't really want to hear from any of these people at all, ever. I'm not the same person I was in high school and I don't need social media to keep up with the family I want to keep up with.

Anyway, I have to be honest, I still have an active account because I'm a hopeless wheeler dealer and Craigslist died a slow death to scammers, so FB marketplace is the only place I can buy/sell stuff. But, I HATE the fact that FB marketplace is the place to find stuff nowadays. I hate Facebook.

Twitter, Snapchat or whatever the latest craze is. No thanks.

 

I despise FB and it's non-human android plant "owner" with a passion. I will never use that site...ever.

 

Its called the network effect. Centralization is awesome... while it works, the secomd it doesnt....
