DataQ and fighting a ticket, can I get it removed?

Yep, if your ticket gets lowered or dismissed in court, then Data Q will remove it. I have done it

 

Hand I mean this with all the kindness I can muster. You have got to STOP listening to super truckers in truck stops. Asking that cop to give you a ticket was foolish. I draw your attention to table 2 of 383.51. YOU get another violation of ANYTHING listed in that table you are getting a 60-day vacation when the information hits the CDLIS. The chances of you getting that speeding ticket removed from the Federal CSA database is almost ZERO. EVEN if you win in court and honestly chances are you won't. You might get the charge changed in state court. Please, hand take anything and everything a super trucker tells you with a grain of salt.

 

One last point. That CSA BS has so many drivers scared I want to scream. You can take a hit and it WILL NOT cause you to lose your job or CDL. After 3 years it all goes away. I do wish this OP well, but that super trucker BS these days peeves me off.

Often times courts will happily change a moving violation to a non moving violation. Especially if they get a higher fine. No guarantees and I would definitely recommend a traffic attorney for a better chance.

Plenty of companies, including the last 3 I've worked for, will fire a driver for a 15+ over violation (also called a warning, but that's not really accurate as it goes on the drivers record) as well as a citation (well, conviction.)

No, the driver did the only logical thing once the leo gave him a cvsa violation. That is, get the ability to fight it in court, otherwise known as a citation. A high likelyhood of it getting lowered and if so he can then DataQ it himself and the cvsa record will reflect the conviction (i.e. the lowered plea deal} instead of the original violation.
The only downside is he might have to pay the citation if he gets a judge and leo that really want to push it. Unlikely though.

 

Nowhere did I say anything about the driver's employment status. In post 15 I was speaking to CSA hits not costing a job. As to the rest of it, we will just have to agree to disagree.
