Hello guys I got 97 FLD120 classic with davco 382. Recently I noticed I’m getting tiny air bubbles inside my glass tank. After truck sits for shut off for night drops and I’m getting hard start with white smoke but after few seconds everything runs fine. I changed fuel filter and all o rings but still same problem and I still see bubbles and fuel doesn’t rise up and stays low. Any ideas what this could be ?

Remove the inlet check ball/fitting from the davco and check for blockage or debris. Inlet restriction can cause aeration. From there suspect a suction leak introducing air between the tanks and the filter.

Look closely at lip on plastic dome under o ring they can and will develop cracks.
when black collar is tightened down.

I am having the exact same problem with my 04 Columbia 14L Detroit diesel, a lot of tiny bubbles in the glass tank, and white smoke in the morning with a cold start then everything goes back to normal but not the bubbles. Replaced the fuel filter and also replaced the glass that got from another truck but the problem is the same, any help would be appreciated.
