Only time I knew of him is when he played a role on the Lucy show.

It's sad about Young and Tillis. I never really liked AC/DC that much. They were cool, but to me most of their songs sounded the same.
I did get to see Mel Tillis in concert when I was a child at the Burt Reynolds dinner theater in Jupiter, FL.

Off topic; (seems everything I post lately is off-topic??) - but I just was on You-tube, and there's a video of Liberace's mansion - abandoned?? What a shame. Take the tour. At least they did no damage.

    Who?
No; Liberace wasn't in the Monkees??
He had two Emmy awards. Two stars on Hollywood Blvd, too.
He was a Flaming Blazer; a showman pianist with style, panache, and flair for the extravagant.

    I make joke.
No, David Cassidy was in a sitcom television show the chicks went coo-coo for coco puffs over.

Growing up watching his tv show, it was easy to envy the guy. David seemed to have it all. Good looking, famous, the girls loved him. Fans aren't aware of the dark side of fame.

It's a shame that he never got the chance to be a serious actor. He had a believable natural acting style. Like he was being himself. His vocal talent was fine as well. With the right direction, he could have been as big as Springsteen in his middle age.

I wanted to hang out with him just to meat his sister, Laurie, played by Susan Dey.
