1200 miles a week is average got suspended for 4 days for truck being unproductive how is it my fault when I don't dispatch my self not a good place to work put it this way why are they paying almost $2000 to get you in the door

 

Worked for Davis Express for over 2 years got over 2000 miles twice not a good place to work an you will never be home for any holidays. An you run 65mph its a joke working there

 

How did you last for 2 years, I don't think I'll last 2 months......

 

Applied there today and got a call 15 mins later with approval (most of my info has been on file for a while and all they needed to verify was current employment). Have to find some time to get in for the road test and interview so hopefully real soon.

 

Good luck, you'll get a lot of backing practice with the Publix stores. If your lucky you'll eventually get a truck with an automatic. Notice all the ripples in the rear of the trailers, its from strong docks...

 

Decided to stick with my current employer. I wouldnt be worried about the backing. My previous company did a lot of Publix store loads so I'm quite familiar with it.

I worked for them for 4 months and got in a non preventable accident. When i went to clean out my truck because of injuries, i recieved a speeding ticket in Waldo,Fl in my car. The officer cited me for 16 over so i turned ticket into safety and advised then i was gonna go to court as i feel i wasnt going that fast. I hired a lawyer and won in court and advised Davis that the ticket was dismissed and was given a date to come back to work. When i arrived that day, i was told to see Chad in safety at which time he told me i was being terminated for the ticket. I informed him the ticket was dismissed and he stated it didnt matter, they had a copy of the ticket and knew i had recieved it so they were terminating my employment. Me and my lawyer feel it was fallout from the accident which was an impared driver that caused the accident but there was no proof that they were firing me for that. I have heard from several drivers that little incidents will get you fired and they do anything they can to make sure you cant find another job. I have had alot of problems finding jobs but usually i find a company that was willing to give me a chance and it always worked out good.Recently I had a heart attack and have been off work for two months and looking to go back to work but having more issues with my refernces from davis that i violated company police by getting a major speeding ticket. Its not a good company and I have worked for some companies that I have has issues with but have been great companies. Best bet is to look else where if you want a company that will treat you good. Must say that mr. Davis, the owner was very nice and I have alot of respect for him but as long as Chad is in safety, Im glad im not there.
