I went by the Davis Express yard (Home office) and got to talk to a driver and tech standing in the yard chatting with each other. They seemed to be happy with the company. The driver has been there 2 years. He also said that they have 4 safety meetings a year. The yard and equipment looked good, All looked newer.

Let me guess! They are probably a family owned company that started out locally. They have expanded out of their area and trying to get into the big money. They probably have a few drivers that started with them long ago but for the most part they can not keep drivers. Of course it is the fault of the drivers and not a cause for the company to make adjustments. Their CEO is a "people guy" but the safety man is an "AssHUle". They don't mind if you run illegal until you get caught! Then they will fire you at the slightest whim. Their maintainance staff is populated with "good ole boys". Get real!

lol there goes another just making judgements against a company you have no clue of....
actually this is a good company. i have spoke to a few of there drivers. everyone of them are happy with the company. miles are from 2400 to 3000 a week. 20.00 for drops but the first and last. this because they are contracted to publix grocery. they do alot of publix deliveries. drivers are banking between 900 and 1200 a week. everyone i talked with are get by the house 2 or 3 times a week. website say out 7 to 9 days... they are converting there fleet over to all kw, ever truck has apu's... -
i have applied to davis and am waiting for the recruiters to do all the checking on me....i have'nt spoken to a single driver yet, but am finding 2400 to 3000 miles a wek a little hard to believe...small running area, grocery warehouses, home alot...unless their load planners are really on the ball, i dont see it...altho i hope its true, 2400 mile averaging is looking good to me...any more info would be helpful
