Substitute FM doesnt read messages very well, and had to straighten out his mix up with training dept to make sure your coming over to my truck.
Now, all I have to do is deliver this Kraft load to Wally World in Sparks on Monday... and get a load back to Springfield to pick you up. -
Cool. Glad you got that cleared up and all I need to stress is my test! Safe trip.

do current cdl holders have a chance of hiring on to prime??? licensed for 8 years but local last 6.
any opinions on leasing??? -
Sure... if you have recent, verifiable OTR experience. Local doesn't usually count - was it class A experience BTW? That being said, it's best you talk to a recruiter. BTW, don't settle for voicemail - park yourself on hold until you get through. They're mostly slammed, although some do manage to get to their emails.
Leasing... it's a toss up. It works if you are running teams or training. Solo freight is there, but the rates aren't what they were - it's tough to make it that way. My own due diligence shows that I'd be having a tough time turning a dime in a new truck as a solo lease op right now. I'd have to have a short term lease in an older truck, so I'm probably doing as well or better as a company driver. -
class A, waiting on fingerprints to have all endorsements again. i have the advantage most L/O don't have in that i can just pack my stuff into storage. but if i can't pay the monthly storage fee. while everyone else has family to support. i would like to be a O/O someday. be nice to be my own boss for a change. instead of working for peanuts.
not having recent OTR is getting to be a bunch of crap.
so how do they check verifiable??? does anyone know??? i did team with my brother in law. and he has 15 years OTR with the same company. he was forced to leave just last year in part becuase of the economy. but he's about the only verifiable thing i can use. i don't even think the boss is around anymore to answer his phone, (if he still has the same number). and DAC only has england listed on it. for 2 months. -

Emton, have you gotten home at all since your training started?
-
Did not plan on going home, but happened by the house twice. I'm right off I-80 near Chicago and we run a lot of freight past my front door. In fact I'm headed home tomorrow, after a stop in Eureka Springs, for a few days or until they can route U2Exit through Chicago to pick me up. Passed my tests and got my CDL. Can't wait to start training with U2. More details later about the tests, but right now I gotta try and beat this storm to AR.
CadetTrucker Thanks this. -
