Means you only have the hours you are rolling off to run on. The 8th day falls off and you get whatever those hours were back. It's also called "bumping your 70","running against your 70". It's not the best place to be but it is legal and can often get you to the house for a 34.
Just think of it like this. You have burned most of your 70 during the week so that when your 10 hour break is up you will have less than 11 hours of drive time. That is when your waiting for midnight for some hours to roll off.

Man that is harder to explain than I thought.

Just saying if you know how to run its all good. I choose to stay out 7 weeks and have been running recap the whole time. My worst week was 2200 best week was 3200. And I did this whole being sick as dig where finally moon I went to urgent care for some good drugs. Sitting in Charlotte today for a pm then going home for a 34 hour break. Be back out mon.

If you already have 11 + on your seventy then I don't consider that running recaps. To me recaps mean you are really hoping midnight comes fast cause you need those hours to run. I routinely have 20 or so hours left after a week so whatever I am recapping doesn't really matter. But having 3 and picking up 10 at midnight is bumping your 70 and that is a crap place to be.

Got to my delivery this morning and got unloaded real quick. Getting loaded right now in Lousiville and then headed up to WI. Gonna stop in Gary for the night, and enjoy my meal options of a cheeseburger or a cheeseburger.

Since we "were" talking about food at the OC's may I suggest while in Atlanta get on the cb
channel 19 and say "hey Loveland got yer ears on" and a very nice gent will answer and take your orders for BBQ (it's right across the street next to the liquor store) and he told us he will deliver to the OC too. It is very good BBQ and the greens and potato salad are good too. And a nice change of pace from cafeteria food. Just sayin😃
