"Winning" an argument on the internet or CB is like winning in the special olympics...
You still only beat a bunch of "wee todds".Attached Files:

I drive a daycab. I obey speed limits for the most part. If I'm speeding, its because I'm keeping up with the flow of traffic meaning cars and trucks both, daycab and otr both. This applies everywhere including construction zones. As for any other daycab or OTR drivers, I have no power to control them and couldn't care less what they do. I do what I do and I make no bones about it. But I'm insulted when someone makes a broad generalization which singles me out for something which I DO NOT DO and which they also readily admit their own kind does regularly as well. Don't make broad generalizations about any particular group unless also want to make yourself look ignorant.

at one time, UPS used to stay in the right lane, and for the most part, they still do, but man i gotta tell you, they will "fly" on those highways now, passing me..!!!
i thought all i had to worry about when i used to drive a SLOW truck, was a Schnieder or JB Hunt truck passing me by...!!
but my truck does 75 mph, and here comes UPS....!!! -
I'll tell you why daycab's drive so fast even though you are paid hourly. It's because many of you are pushed to hurry up and get your stuff delivered. That's why you weave in and out of traffic and jump in front of us at shippers/receivers. You guys think just because we have sleepers we can sit and wait.
Don't get me wrong, I would take a daycab job if I could find one that paid decent money. That's not happening where I live. -
however, i personally get paid a weekly salary, not hourly, or by the mile.
i usually have the cruise control on most of my way to my accounts, then all the way back from the last one.
i ain't in no hurry, but then again, my route/job/pay is different form some other "day-cabbers". -
I think it's because it's easy to become so impersonal and loose your sense of courtesy on the road after doing the same routines over and over for these day cabbers? It's just a theory I have. Common sense and courtesy goes farther than being a road bully behind the wheel. Just because you know the road better than most doesn't mean you're a better driver. It's how you handle yourself.

Woo hoo.... it's amazing how the lines are drawn across the board between OTR drivers and day cabbers?! Regardless of where we operate and work, we are still truckers at the end of the day. I just fail to understand the animosity between us over such little differences? One thing I learned early in my trucking career is that to get respect you have to give some respect.
