Seriously, WHY IS THIS STILL A THING?!?!
Judge, Flat Earth Trucker, lovesthedrive and 4 others Thank this. -
They say, a record number of heart attacks occur during time changes. I never thought that was true until my friends brother died of a heart attack on, you guessed it, the "Spring forward" day. So, be advised.
PE_T, lovesthedrive and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
It's true, it's a small but still significantly bump. Also there's a bump in morning commute car accidents for the first week after spring forward. I've also read where there's a noticeable decline in office productivity around both time changes b/c people's natural rhythm gets screwed up.PE_T, 201 and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

They had to introduce the daylight savings to get more sun for farming etc.
They might as well dispose of it today, it's still dark in the morning and still dark at night.
Germany and Austria was the first to use it so they don't have to generate power to light the war factories in world war two. But they were not exclusively the first.
If you are so sick as to have a heart attack on one hour difference then tsk we cannot help you.bzinger Thanks this. -
that just means my 247 clocks need to be changed again...
oh well...i'm retired......i got the TIME.........
Sirscrapntruckalot, lovesthedrive, Bakerman and 2 others Thank this. -
It doesn't affect me really because I work nights and my sleep/internal clock is all screwed up anyways lol.
lester, WesternPlains, lovesthedrive and 2 others Thank this. -
I have one manual clock on the microwave. The other three are driven either by satellite, cell or internet. Half the time I don't pay them any mind unless one of them is seriously off.
I took off my casio watch when I stopped OTR trucking. I have not had a watch or anything like that in so many years. But the #### wrist has a indentation on the bone where it was.WesternPlains and buddyd157 Thank this.
