Daylight savings

Electricity is a beautiful thing

 

But what about the farming??? They HAD to introduce daylight savings time to get more sun for farming? What about the previous 5,000 years of farming that did without DST?

 

Do they really?

 

I read, it wasn't just for farmers, ( typical farmer, like trucker, me, me, me,,,it's why farmers made such good truckers) more for less energy use, ( although those results are inconclusive) safer for pedestrians, and a couple others. There's been a group gaining steam to abolish DST, and one of these times, they will say, "oh, just forget it".

 

@D.Tibbitt & @Dave_in_AZ y'all don't have daylight savings time in Arizona do you? Think I remember hearing something about they don't have it.

Nope we just switch time zones. During daylight savings we are on pacific time zone and when it ends we go to mountain time zone. To #### hot in az durinng summer to have the sun out until 930 pm lol i cant even imagine. I wish they would just get rid of the whole system because as an arizonian born and raised it really messes with my head every year when it changes. Last year i was up in ontario oregon going to portland and ontario is on mtn time zone where portland is on pacific i was trying to figure out what time i was gonna be in portland the next day with daylight savings ending and for some reason i got up to my appointment 3 hours early lol still havent figured that one out. Atleast this monday i have an 8hr delivery window so i hopefully wont mess it up

 

oh yeah, my friend got yelled at the other day by his dad because he took an hour off to come to a party quick.

especially when rain or snow is coming.
