DD13 RPM

    Was wondering what the best RPM to run a Detroit DD13 at for fuel mileage. Heard the best is around 1350? Is that correct? Thanks guys.

    According to the Detroit brochures you gear them to run the same rpm as a DD15.
    Others experience has been to keep it under 1400 rpm at your regular cruise speed. 1250 being ideal. If your heavy all the time closer to 1400, light closer to 1250.
