DD15 MIL light stays on, need help with codes!

    I have 2017 WesternStar 5700XE with the DD15 power train. About three weeks ago amber MIL lite came on then disappeared few days later. Then it came back and stayed on now for two weeks. The truck functions just fine, no derate, all fluid levels are at proper levels, parked regens complete without issues. I have several active faults related to the OnGuard adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning system witch I had intentionally disconnected when I purchased this truck.

    Here are the codes I have active, if someone can tell me what they mean it would be great.
    SA 160 -> SPN 5681 FMI 9, SPN 516497 FMI 12
    SA 42 -> SPN 5023 FMI 9, SPN 516497 FMI 12

    From what I can tell (and unless there is another code you haven’t found), all of the codes you posted are for the Wabco On-guard/ abs system. All of the codes can be found in the trouble shooting section here: http://www.wabco-na.com/meritorwabco_document/mm1306.pdf

    I would say that the on guard system is tied into your ABS. ABS has been required by the DOT on commercial vehicles since 1997. New trucks/engines seemed to light the MIL whenever something is going on that the DOT wouldn’t appreciate. I would bet, (not allot cause I’m broke) that you have and ABS problem that because the On-Guard system has been routed around (probably not completely removed) had caused the MIL light to come on instead of the ABS light,...
    ... but I’m also “one more beer before bed” so hope the link to troubleshooting helps.
