Hey, my oil pressure sensor just blew out and oil coming out of it pretty bad.
Do I need to worry about oil in the harness and going up to ECM?
I havent pulled it apart yet, but would be very surprised if oil isnt in the harness.
Anything I need to do to the harness? Can it do anything to the ECM? Or just pull out the sensor, clean everything up and plug it back in?
Thanks
DD15 oil in harness, issues?

This is going to cause a fight, but I just brake clean it, blow it out with shop air. The argument is some think the oil will penetrate the ecm and short it out. If that were true, any injector connector under the rocker cover exposed to oil would short out in literally two minutes after you start the engine.

I agree with Heavy
ISX oil pressure sensors leak all the time. Spray connector out with contact cleaner and run it.Heavyd Thanks this. -
All good, the wires going in werent as bad as I thought, so yeah, I just used brake cleaner, thanks heaps.

OK fun aside, just do what Heavyd said, clean it up and run it.Heavyd Thanks this.
