There is an update if rebuilt. For the piston liner kit. It's called the anti polish ring. It sits at top of liner and scrapes the carbon from top of piston. I'm not a tech or Cummins guru.
Thanks for the info Gearjammer79. Hopefully we don't have it that long. These new motors should be sold or traded before warranty runs out, but we screwed up and kept that one too long. Now we have too much money in it, trying to work some off before we get rid of it. But that can backfire too, LOL.
We are scared of deletes. All the tuners around here are doing it under Diesel Spec and everyone I know that had it done, they have all blown up. And now the dealers are plugging in and checking when you get the annual safeties done. Any sign of tampering and no safety.
I agree that simplicity works and the more parts they try to jam in makes it worse. Low leaf have a great ride. Fresh pair of shocks makes a world of difference in any suspension
