Changed out the fuel control quality valve and it actually sounds a bit worse.. I ran the truck for about a 100 miles and still marking low delivery pressure and injector. Time to change the fuel pump as well?

if pressure is low in rail you must have a fault code. do you have it ? what year is it and what is the mileage ?
-
2012 eng 2 001 spn000094
Fuel dlvrpress 04
491Kmiles -
low pressure code is 157. if it is spn 94 fmi 04 then you have an electrical problem

Hey all just a follow-up on this post I replaced my fuel pump and it fix the problem the idol is smooth and the truck turns on right away

Did they give you credit for the fuel quantity valve you already bought? New fuel pumps come with a new one already installed. I know because I went to buy an FQV, could not believe how much they cost, and just bought the whole pump instead.

There is no core charge(credit) for the quantity valve but there is one for the fuel pump.

I wasn't asking about the core charge. You said you installed a new FQV, then went back and installed a new pump. You should have gotten another FQV pre-installed in the new pump. I was just wondering if they let you delete it since you already had a new one and they cost over $700.
