Hello, I have an issue and do not know if this is normal. Every time I do a regen on my 2016 Freightliner Cascadia DD15 the throttle valve requested and actual are always at 0.I can move the buttefly with my hand and I can manipulate the position of the valve with DDDL so it is not stuck . Now my question is all the videos I have seen in regards to levels on regen with DDDL the throttle valve is always between 80 and 90 mine is always at 0. Is something going on I do not know about or is this normal? Any advise with someone that has had a similar issue please share. Thanks in advance

Let me ask you why you worry about valve position when regen starts and ends smouth ?
Dont pay attention on it. The software has been modified many times. Different trucks have different levels of software and acts different way...

If truck is running proper regen do not try to cause problems, truck software at times are set up different, depends on turbo and all, throtlle valve on old engines always used to close you are right but you do not have a EPA 10 Engine so you are trying to educate yourself on the wrong thing you have an EPA 14 or i should say GHG14 so if you go down wrong path from beging you are looking for problems that do not exist. So just be humble if you are trying to educate yourself.

Thank so much for explaining that, totally went past me that makes alot of sense looking at different specs on different models. Thank you nasriza for pointing that out

I've fixed a lot of aftertreatment systems usually if something is completing regen properly giving you proper regen and conv. effieciency values i would not mess with it, with the electronics the way they are now it will tell you right away if something is acting up.

Two years ago DD rolled out something called modified regen strategy (or something like this). So if the truck has that update(its a software update) the mentioned valve will do crazy movements sometimes and sometimes will not move at all.
